As one thinks in the heart so is s/he. Thoughts from the center of our JOY are expressions of the heart .

Every church or spiritual organization has its *lightworkers* - those who are actively seeking and spreading truth to the degree that they have come to understand it. They may not necessarily be the leaders, but may be simply working quietly in the background, yet emanating Light to those around them and exposing others to a higher degree of understanding. They are the ones who see beyond the appearance of differences to the inner commonality.  Their influence is strong because of the Light of Spirit which others sense in their presence. They are the ones who communicate thoughts from the heart to the heart.

As one thinketh in the heart - so is s/he. I believe that a very important part of our mission in life is to connect the head and heart. From my point of understanding the physical body is not who we are. It is the vehicle through which we express who we are. This includes the brain and heart. The soul that inhabits and expresses through the body is ever seeking to express the qualities of love and wisdom (heart-thoughts). The more we connect and identify with the soul and these qualities, the more we build our character, the more lovingly intelligent we become. Thus the thoughts that we build forms around are less selfish and more for the benefit of all concerned. Our thoughts become more peaceful as we are not seeking to defend, but to extend love and light into our realm of experience. It is our responsibility to build thoughts of peace in order to bring peace to our world.

We speak of our Spiritual Heart which beats to the rhythm of the Universe, and of our Spiritual Mind which is able to discern the ways of Spirit (indiscernible to the natural mind). They are connected deep within the "Holy of Holies" of our being, and make impressions upon our outer mind and heart in order to express in the external realm. Our prayers and meditations are tools to help us establish a conscious connection to this higher realm within (the Kingdom of God) so that our outer expressions of living reflect that connection. Thus our lives are guided by Love and Wisdom - expressions of heart-thoughts - and we are able to share intelligently from the heart.

When we share heart-thoughts we communicate with others on a higher and deeper level. We connect with the Soul, that something within that knows that it knows who and what we are in truth; that knows that we are all One with one another because we are One with the Soul of The Almighty. We become more considerate of others and of the well-being of humanity as a whole. This acknowledgment of the Soul strengthens our resolve to usher in the new millennium in PEACE knowing that peace for one is peace for all.

"Where there is no vision - the people perish."

As we each create heart-thoughts which express our vision of peace, the notion of its possibility grows and its probability grows as well. Hold true to your vision of peace and light. I and thousands - yea millions of others join with you in this vision. It is important to remember that you or I or anyone of us may be holding The Critical Thought. .

Center of Joy is the monthly publication of the Lifestream Center for Creative Living. It is devoted to disseminating "Good News" that gives testimony to the positive application of the principles of living in the flow of the Lifestream.   A new article will be presented each month. PRINCIPLES OF JOY:

#1 We can always start by counting our blessings. In spite of all the seeming turmoil of life, there is always a blessing somewhere to be found. Just the fact that we are able to look for a blessing is a sure sign that there is one. There is something inherent within the act of counting blessings that guarantees that as long as you keep counting, you will never run out of blessings to count.

#2 Sing . Sing a joyful song. Sing to your heart’s content. It does not matter whether you sound like an opera singer or a mouse. What matters is that your heart is filled with Joy. Start singing a joyful song, and don’t stop until your heart is singing with you!

#3 Share your talent to the delight of others. Whatever gift God has given you, give likewise to humanity. If you are a writer, write a message to inspire and uplift someone. If your are an artist, create a work of beauty that gladdens the heart of others. If you are a composer or musician, create or play a musical composition which makes the heart thrill. If you have the gift of gab, gab with kindness and joy so that others will be encouraged and inspired by your words. If you are a comedian, create wholesome laughter without obscenity. If your gift is healing, keep your own heart merry. “A merry heart does good like a medicine.”

#4 Work with Joy. Whatever work you do, do it with delight, knowing that it is an important function in the overall service to humanity.

#5 Live in the center of your Joy, and watch how contagious your joy becomes.
