Further Applications of the Principles of JOY
One very important thing to remember as we practice living in the Center of our Joy, is that the Spirit of God is living right there with us. That is what provides the Joy. - It is the Peace of God dancing within our hearts. As this Joy settles within us, we feel the Peace of God resting upon our lives. Here is more evidence of the JOY that comes when we are flowing with the Lifestream. I posted an exercise to a group that was dealing with the issue of "TRUST" and several meaningful replies came back to me. With the permission of those who responded I am sharing their comments with you here.
I am willing to trust the Spirit of God in others. I will not worry, fret or be unhappy over you. I will not be afraid for you. I will not give up on you, and I will not blame, criticize, or condemn you. I will remember first, last and always that you are God's Child, and that you have the Spirit of God in you.
I will trust that Spirit to take care of you and to be a light to your Path ... to provide for your needs. I will think of you always as being surrounded by God's Loving Presence; as being enfolded in His protecting care; as being kept safe and secure in Him.
I will be patient with you, and I will have confidence in you. I will stand by in faith and bless you in my prayers, knowing that you are growing and knowing that you are finding the help that you need.
I have only good thoughts in my heart about you; for I am willing to let you live your life as you see fit. Your way may not be my way, but I am willing to trust the Spirit of God in you to show you the way to your highest good. I will bless you.
I am willing to trust the Spirit of God in others.
Lord - teach me to love.
Responses to TRUST:
From L. J. Todd: - "Your prayer of TRUST sure helps me break through the wall of judgment that surrounds me when I meet people for the first time. Last night I went to a contra (line) dance. As I danced through the line and came to various people, I said to myself, 'I trust in the Divinity of this person.' It made everything so much more loving and fun!"
From Sherry (passing the light along to her friends and family): - "This is a wonderful statement, prayer, offering which I do now offer to you (and silently to my own, here, and most of all, to me.) I have never had a study group where the concept of trust has not arisen in some way. - Thank you for this. Is this not wonderful -- the ripple effect one can have.
- In the Trust that is the foundation of Peace."From Sally (who received it from her sister): - "This prayer is BEAUTIFUL! - Thank you for sending it. It embodies my thoughts and prayers for you each day in words that simply transcend themselves. It also happens to be uncannily appropriate to an e-discussion I've had with my daughter over the past couple of days. I've sent it on to her in hopes that it will help her resolve a situation in which she finds herself intolerant (and wishing she were not). I see God's plan working in my life and in hers. Trust is the answer to everything."
From Tom (who is passing it along): - "Thanks - the prayer is absolutely fabulous. I saved it to share with friends as I can. How could we better summarize what ACIM is asking of us? This prayer is very, very wonderful and I would like to lend my support to its promulgation."
From Linda : - "Thank you very much... I have printed this out and now have it hanging next to my computer, which I visit first thing in the morning and last thing in the evening!!!"
From John : - " Thanks for the prayer - it is outstanding. I am still having a hard time healing my relationship with my wife after she has come back, and your words summarize everything I need to work towards. Please accept my biggest hug."
Center of Joy is the monthly publication of the Lifestream Center for Creative Living. It is devoted to disseminating "Good News" that gives testimony to the positive application of the principles of living in the flow of the Lifestream. A new article will be presented each month. We invite you to apply these simple principles in your life and share your joyful results in a brief message ( seventy-five words or less) with the world via this forum.
